Jagua Tattoos

Jagua, a tropical fruit native to the lush Amazon rainforest, has a rich history of being utilized for both body adornment and medicinal purposes!

Jagua Tattoo longevity varies, lasting between 7-14 days and coloring from navy to black, depending on location on body, your unique skin chemistry, and aftercare. Tattoos last longer on areas that don’t rub against clothing or other body parts as frequently. Finger tattoos typically last for a shorter duration. Use within 3 months of purchase.

Henna stains darkest on hands, feet, wrists, ankles (because the skin is thicker and absorbs more henna). Other areas work with henna, but ensure the skin is relatively pale and has no sunburn/ dryness. Customers with darker skin tones are recommended henna on hands/feet (especially palms!) as this is where henna stains darkest.

Glitter Tattoos

Glitter Tattoos are applied by our artists at our summertime Beach Booths, or at private parties and events – Hire us today!

Sparkles, sparkles, sparkles! These tattoos are applied with waterproof, hypoallergenic body-adhesive and come in a rainbow of glittery colours. Glitter tattoos are instantly dry and waterproof, and you can choose whichever colors you like!

These tattoos are very similar to DarkMark tattoos and have the same care instructions. Same as DarkMark, glitter tattoos do not work well on areas that are washed often or rub on clothes.

Henna Tattoos (Mehndi)

Our talented artists apply henna tattoo for weddings, birthdays, and more! Henna is offered at private event bookings only – Hire us today!

Our Henna is organic and made fresh from scratch in our studio with crushed henna leaves (supplied by a family farm in Rajasthan, India), lemon juice, sugar, and natural essential oils to bring out the color (Cajeput, Lavender, Tea Tree). Henna first darkens skin to orange, which darkens to a deep brown after 24-48 hours. Henna lasts 7-21 days depending on skin type, how long paste is left on (at least 3 hours!), and level of care. To care for a Henna tattoo, do not scratch or exfoliate it, avoid harsh chemicals/ soaps, and moisturize often.

DarkMark Body Ink

Our talented artists apply DarkMark Tattoos at private event bookings only – Hire us today!

If you like the look of DarkMark Tattoos, try our new Jagua Tattoos! They look just like a real tattoo, last longer than our DarkMark tattoos.

Dark Mark tattoos are applied with our specialized temporary black body ink. These tattoos are instantly dry and waterproof, and last 3-7 days depending on skin type and level of care. To extend the life of the tattoo, avoid rubbing/scratching (especially when getting out of the shower/pool), and do not apply sunscreen, lotions, chemicals, or harsh soaps.

DarkMark Tattoos do not work well on areas that are washed often or rub on clothes (“bad” spots include feet, hands, lower back with shorts, etc). The best location tends to be wrist, arms, legs, back.

Please note, DarkMark is NOT Black Henna. It is a safe and durable body ink widely used in the film and special effects industry. We only use safe and natural body inks at The Henna Hut.
